John C. Miller has over 30 years of experience in the investment management profession. He has used his expertise to help individuals, business owners and non-profit organizations work toward achieving their goals. He specializes in retirement planning – particularly for those close to retirement or already retired. A realistic and achievable income distribution plan can make the retirement years the golden years that we all envision.

He enjoys working with individuals who have rollover questions regarding their 401(k) or 403(b) retirement plans. This in many cases is the most important financial decision that an individual may ever make in their life time. He takes pride in taking as much time as necessary to help his clients understand all their alternative choices.

John graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College in New York City in 1972 with a BA degree in political science and urban studies. In 1977 he earned his MBA in finance from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University. After 12 years of working on Wall Street as an investment analyst and portfolio manager, he returned to Ohio in 1989 to build his own practice.

John is an  Investment Advisor Representative with Kovack Advisors, Inc and offers a variety of fee-based programs for those who prefer not paying commissions. He also is a Registered Representative with, and offers securities through, Kovack Securities, Inc. Member FINRA/SIPC.


John is active in his church and a variety of charitable organizations. He enjoys camping, fishing, reading and travel.
